Vulvoplasty

Labiaplasty or ninfoplasty (vaginal rejuvenation) is a procedure that consists in reducing the labia minora of the vagina. Labiaplasty is also used to increase the thickness of labia majora (due to lack of development or aging), through fat grafting using fatty tissue harvested from the patient, thus improving the appearance of the pubis.

The best candidates are those women with aesthetic or morphological alterations who seek to improve the appearance of their vaginal labia.

This surgery is performed under local anesthesia and sedation, immediately following the menstrual cycle, so that the tissue has healed prior to the next cycle.

The recovery time for a ninfoplasty is between 3 and 4 weeks. Following this vaginal surgery, you may experience bruising and swelling that can be treated with analgesics and anti-inflammatory agents. Stitches will generally not represent a problem since absorbable or dissolvable sutures are used in this procedure.
