Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty)

Many of us are not happy with the shape of our nose; it may have an unattractive profile or it may be too wide or long. These factors may be improved through a surgical procedure called rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty is a surgery that changes the size and shape of the nose, either increasing or reducing the nasal dorsum, changing the angles or remodelling the tip. Whatever the change, the goal is to restore facial balance and proportion. This is why at your first consultation, will examine your nose structure and facial proportions.

Rhinoplasty is typically performed as an outpatient procedure (4-8 hour recovery) using general anesthesia.

A splint or cast is placed on the nose for a couple of days to immobilize the nose and prevent swelling. You may need intranasal packing, which will be removed within 2 or 3 days.

During consultation, we will discuss your expectations and how surgery may change your nose. It is important that you clearly express your point of view and fears; this will help you undergo a smooth process until the final result is obtained, which will be visible within approximately 2 to 6 months.
